"Fairy Tale Travel" Textbook Series Transforms Elementary Learning with Storytelling and Imagination

The Mirae-N Design Team has reimagined elementary education with the "Fairy Tale Travel" textbook series, which recently earned the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Education, Teaching Aid and Training Content category for 2025. Developed in Seoul from March 2023 to March 2024, this innovative project introduces a consistent fairy tale narrative throughout each textbook, making learning more engaging and enjoyable for young students. The series is set to be available in 2025, offering a fresh approach to educational materials in Korea.

Unlike traditional textbooks, "Fairy Tale Travel" integrates friendly character guides and warm, hand-drawn illustrations to create a welcoming and imaginative learning environment. Each book features unique color schemes for different grades and semesters, enhancing usability and helping students quickly locate their materials. The covers utilize holographic effects to evoke a sense of wonder, while antimicrobial coatings and inks ensure safety for children's daily use.

The design process focused on fostering connection, softness, and fluidity, with cloud-inspired typography and curved shapes contributing to a dreamy, approachable aesthetic. Extensive research and collaboration with editors ensured that the storytelling remained consistent and effective, overcoming initial challenges in merging fairy tale elements with educational content. The result is a textbook that transforms learning into an adventure, encouraging students to see their studies as a journey filled with curiosity and creativity.

By making textbooks as desirable as storybooks, "Fairy Tale Travel" aims to inspire children to take ownership of their learning and to view education as an exciting, imaginative experience.
