"Framed Time": A Neo-Classical Apartment Redefining Light, Space, and Sophistication in Urban Taiwan

Chiun Ju Interior Design has received the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award 2025 in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for its project "Framed Time." Located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, this 99.1-square-meter apartment was transformed into a sophisticated urban retreat, completed in July 2023. The design was inspired by the client's desire for neo-classical elegance, with a focus on symmetry, light, and a seamless open-plan layout that reimagines the traditional apartment living experience.

"Framed Time" stands out for its meticulous balance of classical and contemporary elements. The design team unified the dining and living areas with clean lines and boutique-inspired details, creating a fluid social space bathed in natural daylight. A dark-toned entrance sets a dramatic first impression, while openwork vistas and carefully curated materials-such as slab tiles, metal trims, and eco-friendly paints-allow light to animate every corner. The interplay of warm grays and soft textures enhances the sense of tranquility and luxury, reflecting the client's personal taste and the team's expertise in harmonizing style and function.

Overcoming challenges such as limited space and fixed infrastructure, the team optimized the layout for both privacy and openness. The kitchen island aligns with the wall for efficiency, and custom cabinetry evokes the feel of a boutique display. The master bedroom and bathroom were thoughtfully planned to maximize comfort within spatial constraints. The result is a residence that not only exemplifies technical skill and creative vision but also elevates everyday living through a refined, light-filled atmosphere. The project's recognition at the A' Design Awards underscores Chiun Ju Interior Design's commitment to quality, innovation, and client-centered solutions in contemporary residential design.
