"Art in the Soul" Office Project by Sakura Architecture Recognized for Artistic and Employee-Centric Design

Sakura Architecture's "Art in the Soul" office project, located in Istanbul, has received the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for 2025. The project stands out for its commitment to creating a workspace that reflects the personality and soul of its occupants, rather than focusing solely on traditional notions of corporate strength. The 250-square-meter office features an open layout with a spacious balcony and a glass facade, maximizing daylight and offering panoramic city views. The entrance welcomes visitors with veined grey marble floors, wood veneer walls, and a sculptural reception counter, immediately immersing guests in a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. Artworks, sculptures, and greenery are seamlessly incorporated throughout the space, from the executive office's fish-scale parquet and marquetry cabinetry to the common areas adorned with decorative birds and brass accents. These elements collectively create a cohesive, inspiring environment that balances elegance with warmth.

Functionality is at the core of the design, with distinct zones including a reception, meeting rooms, executive offices, a lounge, and technical areas. Glass partitions ensure transparency and extend natural light deep into the workspace, while sound-insulating carpets and minimalist furniture promote comfort and focus. The project's realization involved meticulous material selection and spatial organization, overcoming challenges of harmonizing diverse textures and functions without compromising aesthetic unity. The result is a workplace that not only meets professional requirements but also elevates daily experiences through artful design.
