Award-Winning "Cell Resources" Office Interior by GOOD PLACE Sets New Standards in Functional and Inspirational Workspace Design

GOOD PLACE, a Tokyo-based design studio, has received the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for its "Cell Resources" office interior, completed for Cell Resolutions in November 2024. Located in Haneda Innovation City, the project reimagines the modern laboratory office by integrating the "Geometric Clear" concept-a design philosophy that expresses the fundamental structure of living cells through geometric forms, clean lines, and a water-inspired color palette.

The office is thoughtfully divided into three distinct zones: a welcoming entrance for seminars and external meetings, a highly confidential internal meeting room, and a flexible workspace. This spatial configuration supports both collaborative and focused work, while the central large table-angled for enhanced communication and adjustable in height-encourages interaction among team members. The counter table by the window offers a dedicated area for concentration, and geometric ceiling lighting, adjustable in brightness, ensures optimal illumination throughout the space.

GOOD PLACE's design stands out for its innovative use of materials and lighting. Glass, sheer curtains, and painted finishes allow natural light to permeate and reflect, highlighting the sharp geometric lines of the walls and furniture. The ceiling lighting system features fixtures set at varying angles, eliminating dark joints and enhancing the clarity of the space. Flooring tiles are selected to minimize dust accumulation, supporting a clean and hygienic environment essential for a regenerative medicine company. The design not only addresses the practical needs of laboratory work but also fosters a sense of trust, sophistication, and unity, aligning with Cell Resolutions' mission to advance medical innovation.

The project's success is rooted in extensive research, including behavioral analysis, on-site surveys, and cross-industry studies, ensuring that every design element supports user experience and well-being. By overcoming challenges such as long working hours and workplace stagnation, GOOD PLACE has created a liberating and adaptable office environment that enhances productivity and reflects the cutting-edge nature of Cell Resolutions' work. The recognition from the A' Design Award underscores the project's contribution to quality of life improvements and its role in setting new benchmarks for office interiors in the science and technology sectors.
