Aurotek Technology Factory: Redefining Green Manufacturing

Peng Architects Inc. unveils the Aurotek Technology Factory, a testament to innovation and environmental consciousness. Inspired by Aurotek Technology's commitment to sustainability, the factory's design utilizes local materials such as concrete hollow bricks and glass to create an economically and environmentally friendly exterior.

Located in Kunshan, the factory challenges the traditional manufacturing stereotype, integrating technology and ecology to set a new standard for green manufacturing.

Utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), the architects meticulously measured ventilation flow and temperature simulation to optimize natural ventilation, ensuring a sustainable and comfortable indoor environment.

Adhering to the "Green Building Evaluation Standards," the 10344-square-meter building sets a new benchmark for green buildings, achieving the three-star standard of Chinese Green Building. The design incorporates hollowed-out building skins and buoyant ventilation windows to maximize natural lighting and wind convection, exemplifying energy efficiency and carbon reduction.

Through the strategic use of hollow bricks and glass, the factory's breathable building skin maximizes natural lighting and self-shading, minimizing the need for additional decoration and aligning with the concept of environmental protection.

The project, designed from May 2014 to November 2015, was brought to life in April in Kunshan, Jiangsu, China, serving as a testament to the successful integration of technology and ecology in manufacturing.

Peng Architects Inc. has once again demonstrated their commitment to sustainable design and innovation with the Aurotek Technology Factory, setting a new standard for green manufacturing and earning the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2021.
