FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Scenic Table, designed by Marco Balsinha in collaboration with Tensai Indústria, has been awarded the Bronze A' Furniture Design Award 2025, recognizing its unique blend of aesthetic refinement and practical versatility. The table's standout feature is its leg design, inspired by the graceful Calla lily, which not only delivers visual elegance but also provides mechanical efficiency and adaptability for a wide range of environments-from hospitality and commercial spaces to private homes. This innovative approach was developed through extensive research, client feedback, and rigorous testing, ensuring the Scenic Table meets both corporate goals and user needs.
Central to the Scenic Table's originality is its interchangeable leg system, which allows for multiple attachment options and configurations. The table's plastic tabletop is engineered to accommodate various leg positions, cleverly concealing technical elements while maintaining a consistent formal language. Two distinct leg versions-one robust and practical, the other open and delicate-are produced using a single mold with inserts, optimizing sustainability and industrial efficiency. The result is a product that balances safety, ergonomics, and durability, while offering a wide range of color and configuration choices to suit diverse interior styles.
Manufactured using advanced plastic injection molding with polypropylene and fiber, the Scenic Table exemplifies the integration of design, engineering, and market research. The collaborative development process involved multiple departments and iterative prototyping, drawing inspiration from renowned design methodologies. The Scenic Table is set for mass production in December 2024, following its public unveiling at Spoga Gafa in Cologne and a demonstration at EquipHotel Paris. Its award-winning design not only enhances living and working spaces but also serves as a benchmark for innovation and sustainability in contemporary furniture design.
