Mia Foldable Cat Bag Recognized for Excellence in Pet Care Design at 2025 A' Design Awards

The Mia Foldable Cat Bag, developed by Ziel Home Furnishing Technology Co., Ltd, has been honored with the Silver A' Design Award in the Pet Care, Toys, Supplies and Products for Animals category for 2025. Designed by Ning Huang, Lan Wang, and De Yi Fan Kong, Mia addresses the common challenges faced by cat owners who seek convenient, space-saving, and comfortable solutions for traveling or spending time outdoors with their pets. The project began in Shenzhen in March 2024 and was completed in June 2024, reflecting a commitment to both innovation and user-centered design.

Inspired by the need to reduce the burden of carrying bulky pet supplies, Mia stands out with its book-like appearance and foldable structure, crafted from environmentally friendly materials such as DuPont paper and recycled board. The product can be easily unfolded to create a cozy and secure resting space for cats, whether at home, in the garden, or while camping. When not in use, Mia folds down to the thickness of a book, making storage effortless and freeing up valuable space for owners. Replaceable wearing parts ensure easy cleaning and maintenance, supporting a hygienic environment for pets.

Research conducted by the design team revealed that 83% of surveyed cat owners regularly use cat bags, yet struggle with storage and portability. Mia directly addresses these concerns by offering a lightweight, compact, and sustainable alternative. The design process involved extensive surveys of cat households and studies of home layouts in various countries to ensure compatibility with diverse living spaces. The Silver A' Design Award recognizes Mia's outstanding technical innovation, artistic skill, and its positive impact on both pets and their owners, setting a new standard for functional and beautiful pet care products.
