EcoMod: Award-Winning Modular Lighting Fixtures Championing Sustainability and Customization

Ziel Home Furnishing Technology Co., Ltd has announced that its EcoMod modular lighting fixture series has received the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures category for 2025. Developed by designers Guoyu Wang and Yu Ren in Shenzhen, EcoMod addresses the widespread issue of resource waste caused by discarding entire lighting fixtures when only a single part is damaged. The innovative design allows users to freely combine and customize light modules, offering both functional versatility and environmental responsibility.

EcoMod stands out for its fully modular structure, enabling every component-including the base, lamp post, lamp head, lampshade, and power supply-to be easily assembled, disassembled, and replaced. Made from bioplastics and recycled aluminum, the fixtures are both durable and eco-friendly. The use of wireless track lighting technology ensures safe and simple installation, while the plug-and-play system allows users to adjust light positions, swap lampshades, and control brightness and color temperature remotely. This approach not only extends product lifespan but also empowers users to personalize their lighting experience.

The design process, which began in February 2024 and concluded in September 2024 in Shenzhen, was driven by research into sustainable solutions for everyday lighting needs. The team overcame challenges related to developing sturdy, easy-to-use connections and selecting materials that balance durability, aesthetics, and environmental impact. EcoMod's minimalist style and customizable features reflect a commitment to eco-friendly living and user-centric design. The Iron A' Design Award recognizes EcoMod as a practical, innovative product that integrates industry best practices and contributes to a more sustainable world.
