Pataya Series: Award-Winning Study Furniture Blending Modern Metal and Natural Rattan

The Pataya Series, designed by Ziel Home Furnishing Technology Co., Ltd, has been recognized with the Bronze A' Furniture Design Award 2025 for its innovative approach to study furniture. Developed in Shenzhen from June 2023 to May 2024, the Pataya Series reimagines the study environment by integrating metal frames with natural rattan elements, resulting in a modern Bohemian aesthetic that brings warmth and personality to home workspaces. The collection includes desks, chairs, bookshelves, and storage solutions, all designed to offer both visual appeal and practical functionality.

Inspired by the desire to harmonize nature with contemporary living, the Pataya Series utilizes frosted metal round tubes for structural support, combined with rattan mesh surfaces on drawer fronts and cabinet doors. This thoughtful material pairing not only ensures durability and ease of assembly through flat packaging but also introduces a tactile, organic feel to each piece. The ergonomic design of the desk and chair prioritizes comfort and posture, while the modular storage racks and shelves allow users to personalize their study spaces according to their needs and preferences.

The design team, including Yuan Liang, Jingyi Zhang, Yu Ren, Guoyu Wang, Juan Wang, and Tianfeng Jiang, overcame significant challenges in balancing Bohemian style with modern utility. Their research into emerging trends and user expectations led to a collection that emphasizes both aesthetics and storage efficiency. The Pataya Series stands out for its ability to create a comfortable, efficient, and personalized study environment, making it a deserving recipient of international recognition for design excellence.
