Shao Bros. Development Inc. has been honored with the Bronze A' Design Award 2025 for Metro Casa, a residential common area project in Taipei, Taiwan, distinguished by its geometric folding plate features, LOHAS philosophy integration, and sustainable design, set for completion in November 2025.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Metro Casa, the latest project by Shao Bros. Development Inc., has received the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category for 2025. Located in Taipei, this 920.67-square-meter residential common area stands out for its bold geometric folding plate features, which mirror the building's beveled facade and create a seamless transition from exterior to interior spaces. The design's inspiration stems from a desire to enrich both the aesthetic and functional experiences of residents, making the common area a central hub for community interaction and well-being.
At the heart of Metro Casa's design is the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) philosophy, which emphasizes environmental responsibility, health, and a sense of community. The design team has intricately woven this vision into every aspect of the common areas, integrating various seating arrangements, communal spaces, and abundant greenery. These elements encourage social interaction and foster a strong sense of belonging among residents. Sustainably sourced wood, decorative grilles, and dynamic geometric patterns further unite style with practicality, ensuring that the space is both visually striking and environmentally conscious.
One of the project's most distinctive features is the lobby's folded plate-shaped counter and multidimensional walls, which transform rigid surfaces into harmonious, flowing structures. The entrance to the escape staircase is cleverly marked by a uniquely folded door panel, intuitively guiding occupants toward safety while maintaining aesthetic cohesion. The project's thoughtful layout not only guides movement but also enhances the daily experience of residents and guests, setting a new benchmark for modern, sustainable residential architecture in Taiwan. Metro Casa is scheduled for completion in November 2025, promising to deliver a lifestyle deeply rooted in environmental consciousness and communal harmony.
