Agelocer's BigBang Watch

Agelocer proudly presents the BigBang watch, a unique timepiece that pays homage to the steampunk genre. The watch features a multi-layer overlapping design within the dial, creating a three-dimensional space and incorporating elements such as rudder-shaped hands, gear dials, and connecting rods. The black and gold dial with a hollow window on the right side transforms the movement of the minute hand from a circular motion to a vertical motion, symbolizing the passage of time.

The BigBang watch stands out with its 24-hour dial for easy reading and the designer's meticulous control of the thickness, height, and length of each layer and hand, ensuring a well-coordinated design. The sapphire glass, coated on both sides, provides transparency and durability second only to diamond, while the Swiss Super-LumiNova luminous system ensures night-time visibility. With a 50M water-resistance, the watch meets daily use requirements.

The design team, led by Fuqing Ye and Dongheng Wang, overcame challenges in expressing the passage of time and developing the multi-layer dial and hands. Extensive research and customer interviews informed the design, integrating customer needs, production time, budget, and technical limits. The BigBang watch project began in China in October 2017 and was officially launched in the market in June 2019, receiving the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021.
