Sadra Boushehri's Trustlucent connected dining table, designed in Tehran and completed in October 2023, has been awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award 2025 for its groundbreaking blend of minimalist aesthetics, advanced engineering, and seamless integration into contemporary living spaces.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Trustlucent, a visionary creation by Sadra Boushehri and his design team, redefines the modern dining experience with its unique floating effect and minimalist form. Conceived in response to a client's request to preserve natural light and openness, Trustlucent is inspired by the quiet strength of supportive friendships-stable, reliable, and unobtrusive. The table's design allows light to flow freely beneath, creating an airy, elegant presence that integrates effortlessly with kitchen islands or walls, making it ideal for dining, studying, or gathering without disrupting the room's ambiance.
The table's distinctive features include thin, reinforced beech wood edges for durability, a 2mm oak veneer surface that resists moisture and scratches, and a 16mm tempered glass base that provides stability while remaining nearly invisible. Hidden connections and an inverted pyramid form not only enhance the illusion of floating but also add structural strength and visual intrigue. Trustlucent's innovative engineering was realized through close collaboration with engineers, ensuring the glass base could withstand stress and shear forces. The use of a U-shaped aluminum profile secures the table to the floor, absorbing potential impacts and guaranteeing long-term safety.
Trustlucent's technical specifications-measuring 1400L x 700W x 750H mm and weighing 60 kg-can be customized to suit various spaces. The design process involved rigorous research into material properties and structural analysis, resulting in a product that balances elegance, safety, and efficiency. The table's floating upside-down pyramid structure, inspired by Egyptian forms, not only captivates visually but also maximizes stability. Recognized with the Golden A' Design Award in 2025, Trustlucent stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful design to enhance both form and function in contemporary interiors.
