Royal Residential Complex: Award-Winning Sustainable Architecture Meets Modern Luxury in Mersin

S.A.I.T. Studio proudly announces that its Royal Residential Complex, located in Erdemli, Mersin, has received the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building, and Structure Design for 2025. This recognition celebrates the project's exceptional integration of luxury, sustainability, and historical influences, setting a new benchmark for residential developments in Turkey and beyond.

Inspired by the rich heritage of ancient civilizations such as the Hittites, Romans, and Byzantines, the Royal seamlessly incorporates iconic architectural elements like arches and columns into a modern urban setting. Spanning a 23,000 m² site with a total built area of 41,000 m², the complex features two 13-story towers and one 7-story tower, comprising 200 apartments-including 29 garden duplex villas. Every residence boasts panoramic sea views, while communal amenities include a 2,200 m² seawater pool, a 350-meter adventure water canal, thermal pools, and dynamic landscape lighting that changes with the wind.

Royal's design process leveraged advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to ensure precision and seamless integration of structural, mechanical, and architectural elements. Sustainable materials, energy-efficient glass, eco-friendly insulation, and smart home systems were incorporated to enhance comfort and reduce environmental impact. The layout encourages interaction between residents and nature, with green roofs, water-efficient systems, and thoughtfully designed communal spaces promoting wellness and social connection.

Overcoming the challenges of balancing modern luxury with local climate and regulatory requirements, S.A.I.T. Studio conducted extensive research, site analysis, and user behavior studies. The result is a residential complex that not only elevates the quality of life for its residents but also serves as a model for sustainable, human-centered architecture. Completion of the Royal Residential Complex is anticipated in December 2025, promising to enrich the lifestyle and community spirit of Erdemli.
