Aquetha by tacto inc. redefines aged sake as a work of art, unveiling a captivating online gallery experience
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
tacto inc. introduces Aquetha, a groundbreaking concept that transforms aged sake into a work of art. The design team's inspiration stemmed from the desire to elevate the value of aged sake, leading to the creation of an online gallery, "Kitamura Sake Exhibition," to showcase and sell these treasures hidden across Japan. By positioning AQUETHA as the umbrella for this gallery, the team aims to revolutionize the perception of aged sake, presenting it as a unique and valuable art form.
The innovative approach involves hand-crafted bottles by renowned glass artist Yutaro Kijima, emphasizing the natural roundness and the passage of time. The transparent labels, printed using blank letterpress printing, further enhance the visual appeal of the packaging. Additionally, the website functions as a gallery, offering a captivating space for consumers to experience the delicacy and sophistication of AQUETHA's ice-temperature aging.
The project, which took place in Tokyo, Japan, over a span of two months, faced various technical and creative challenges, particularly in crafting the perfect bottle shape to preserve the quality of the sake. However, the meticulous efforts resulted in a design that not only adds value to unsold sake but also aligns with sustainable development goals by preventing wastage.
tacto inc. continues to push the boundaries of digital design, delivering impactful experiences and consulting services through its innovative Story Design approach. The company's commitment to creating a positive impact is evident in its visionary projects, such as Aquetha, which was honored with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2024.
