Shih Ting Ling's Trendy Toys Collection

Luyao x National Palace Museum has unveiled a unique collection of Trendy Toys, the Hedgehog series, designed by Shih Ting Ling. Drawing inspiration from autistic children and environmental issues, the collection integrates traditional artifacts from the National Palace Museum with contemporary character design, advocating for empathy and environmental sustainability. The series uses PU resin and PVC enamel to preserve cultural legacy and stimulate discourse on global issues.

This harmonious fusion of art and reality aims to amplify public awareness and compassion, uniting artistry with critical societal dialogues. The collection includes the Jadeite Hedgehogs, Blue and White Porcelain Hedgehogs, SU Zombie Alpha, and Kakigoori Kuma, each symbolizing different societal issues and advocating for positive change.

These creations are a result of meticulous research of the National Palace Museum's artifacts, integrating features of ancient porcelain into soft vinyl toys. The innovative approach explores the fusion of classical culture within modern society, striving to merge creativity with history.
