FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lexilight: Reading Lamp for Dyslexia

Lexilight, a reading lamp designed by PAD, is a unique solution aimed at helping dyslexic individuals read with ease. The lamp's design is inspired by the idea of a benevolent friend standing on the desk, bent over the book, resembling the posture of a parent teaching a child to read. This metaphorical design aims to create a comforting and supportive reading environment.

The lamp's innovative use of pulsed and modulated light erases the mirror image that dyslexic individuals see, enabling them to read more comfortably and for longer periods without experiencing eye strain. This unique feature sets Lexilight apart from other reading lamps, making it a highly effective tool for individuals with dyslexia.

Constructed with high-quality materials, including ABS, PMMA, and ZAMAC, the lamp is meticulously assembled in France by a workforce consisting entirely of handicapped individuals, adding a meaningful aspect to its production process.

Lexilight measures 270mm in width, 185mm in depth, and 300mm in height, making it a versatile and compact addition to any reading space.

Designed to be user-friendly, Lexilight offers two modes: Lexilight mode and normal light mode. Users can adjust the light wave using two potentiometers to tailor the lighting to their individual needs. The lamp is portable and comes with a transport bag, making it convenient for users to carry it between home, school, or the office.

The development of Lexilight began in Paris in November 2018 and concluded in Saint Malo, France, in October 2019. Extensive research and testing were conducted, involving children and parents, to ensure the lamp's effectiveness and desirability across different age groups and settings.

PAD, the design studio behind Lexilight, is committed to creating seamless user experiences from the initial design phase to the final product. Founded by Philippe ARNAUD and Alexandre BERNELIN, PAD's unique approach to design and production sets it apart in the design studio ecosystem. The studio's dedication to social and ecological responsibilities is evident in its diverse portfolio of products, including the award-winning Lexilight reading lamp.
