"Rencontre" - A Nature-Inspired Office Design

Helang interior design presents "Rencontre," an office project that reimagines a 30-year-old 3-storey house in Taichung City, Taiwan, into a 218.1 square meter vibrant and nature-inspired workspace. The theme "One Step, One View" is embodied through the incorporation of natural elements, including greenery, wood, and rattan, creating an open, diverse, and energetic environment for employees and visitors.

The office features floor-to-ceiling windows that allow natural light to illuminate the interior, while a carefully planned circulation ensures that each area offers a unique view, promoting creativity and comfort. The color scheme, consisting of camel, brown, wood, and silver, contributes to a warm and comfortable atmosphere, complemented by the use of waterproof cement to highlight the indoor greenery.

The design team also transformed the indoor staircase into an outdoor staircase, seamlessly connecting the interior with the outdoor space, and eliminating the feeling of confinement. The project received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2024, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authentically combines nature and modern aesthetics to enhance the quality of life and work.

Ching-Chang Su and Kuan-Chi Fu, the key members of the design team, meticulously planned the office to provide a relaxing and vacation-like ambiance during the day, with expansive views of greenery and a cozy, bar-like atmosphere in the evening. The space not only serves as a workplace but also offers a place for relaxation and enjoyment, reflecting the brand's unique charm and values.
