DAGA Architects' Baochao Hutong project, an innovative "Invisible Yard" design, has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2022 for its outstanding creativity and exceptional use of mirror glass technology.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DAGA Architects' Baochao Hutong project, known as the "Invisible Yard," is a groundbreaking design located in the Beijing Hutong area. The 12 sqm courtyard features mirror glass on the ground and walls, creating a unique reflective space that blurs the boundaries between virtual and reality. This innovative use of mirror glass allows the surrounding hutongs, trees, and sky to be reflected on the ground, providing an extraordinary spatial experience.
The mirror glass technology not only increases the permeability of the space but also offers a double landscape experience for the owner. When entering the courtyard, individuals are surrounded by the perspective effect of specular reflection, creating an immersive and dream-like ambiance.
The project, which commenced on June 15th, 2020, and was completed within a remarkable 14 days, demonstrates DAGA Architects' commitment to pushing the boundaries of design and architecture.
The "Invisible Yard" design has successfully transformed a small, narrow courtyard into a visually spacious and captivating environment, showcasing the firm's dedication to innovative and transformative design solutions.
