Muji Eco Pavilion in Emptiness

Atelier Forth Force unveils the Muji Eco Pavilion in Emptiness, a sustainable exhibition space dedicated to MUJI's minimalist philosophy, at the China International Import Expo 2023.

The pavilion, consisting of 7,524 interlocking wooden components, embodies the brand spirit of Nature, Naturally & MUJI. During the 6-day exhibition, 1,254 visitors dismantled the wall, taking away the screen system, which will be reassembled into home storage systems. This innovative approach brings sustainability into the lives of participants and aligns with MUJI's brand concept.

The main materials of the pavilion include environmentally friendly wood, recycled ocean plastic, biodegradable agricultural materials, and reusable metal, showcasing a commitment to sustainable design in the exhibition industry.

Chenzhu Sun, the Creative Director, led the design team in this groundbreaking project, which won the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in 2024, recognizing its exceptional innovation and contribution to societal wellbeing.
