T10 Shopping Mall Design by Alex Chiang

Alex Chiang's T10 Shopping Mall design, located in the core business district of Zhongyuan, Zhengzhou, has been awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2024. The project, designed as a warm and comfortable shopping center, aims to integrate fashion into the lifestyle of families, catering to family-oriented consumers of all ages within a 3-kilometer radius serving a population of 1.7 million people.

The design concept draws inspiration from the growth process of a family, utilizing different floors to represent various stages of growth, creating a shopping space with the DNA of a family. The project's unique location in the core business district of Zhengzhou presents a strategic advantage, focusing on family-oriented consumers and aiming to provide a warm and comfortable shopping center.

The T10 Shopping Mall design utilizes sinuous curves and cell-to-cell communication to outline the space, symbolizing the collisions between families in society and the resulting commercial exchanges. This innovative approach sets the design apart, creating a distinctive and inviting shopping environment.

Challenges in transforming the old closed business into a new trend family shopping center were overcome through a combination of stock transformation and new business model output. The project represents the successful overall transformation and upgrading of the old closed business, positioning it as a new trend family shopping center in the core business circle of Zhongyuan District, Zhengzhou.

The T10 Shopping Mall design team, including SunHong, WangJiWen, LuChaoFei, JiaWenHan, ZhangXiaoLei, ZhangWen, ZhenQiaoWen, and ZhouQian, contributed to the realization of this innovative project in Zhengzhou, HeNan, China.

Alex Chiang, originally from Shanghai, China, is a part of MAS, an international professional design institution focusing on innovation. The company, established in 2003, has won numerous awards in the fields of commercial and shopping center design, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and space creativity.
