Federica Biasi Unveils Livre Armchair

Federica Biasi introduces Livre, an armchair that seamlessly fuses Asian-inspired design with the contemporary perspective of Gallotti&Radice. Drawing from Eastern influences, Livre's base features a structure of tied cylinders, showcasing craftsmanship and elegance. The upper part envelops the sitter in a cocoon-like embrace, creating a unique contrast with the solid wood base.

Weighing in at L 82 x W 74 x H 67 cm, Livre's soft lines invite moments of absolute relaxation and comfort, embodying a harmonious blend of form and function. The design process, spanning from 2018 to 2020, involved extensive research into Asian and Japanese design, culminating in a product that communicates the uniqueness of Gallotti&Radice while incorporating fresh, unseen elements.

Overcoming creative challenges, Biasi achieved a delicate balance between the armchair's soft, welcoming lines and the prominent wooden base, resulting in a product that reflects her vision of a hybrid creation. Livre was honored with the Golden A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding contribution to the world of furniture design.
