Residential Apartment Design: Verdurous Home

Chien-Neng Chang's residential apartment design, Verdurous Home, stands out with its innovative use of plant walls and a family-centric layout. The 445 square meter property in Taichung, Taiwan, was completed on January 20th, 2019.

The unique feature of this interior design is the incorporation of plant walls, which not only broaden the vertical scale of space but also invigorate the living atmosphere. The design specifically caters to a family of five members, symbolizing the prospect of the family's business through intimate space interactions.

The living space, adorned with woods and stones, exudes a calm and laid-back atmosphere. The design also includes a raised Japanese-style parlor with a great view of the outdoor environment. The project won the Silver A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding expertise and innovation.
