Family Hotel Design in Abastumani

Renowned architect Darejan Shatashvili presents a unique family hotel design in Abastumani, Georgia, inspired by the historical significance of the area. The project, completed in December 2019, preserves the ruins of a 19th-century building while adding a modern touch with delicate materials and stained glass, creating a harmonious blend of ancient and contemporary architecture.

The two-story building, with each floor covering 130 sq.m., features a common dining area and several terraces, offering a picturesque view of the Abastumani forest. The design aims to provide a tranquil retreat for visitors, leveraging the healing climate and sulfur waters of the region.

Shatashvili's innovative approach to the reconstruction project has garnered attention for its effective merging of historical and modern elements, creating a unique space that pays homage to the area's rich heritage.

Lead Architect Darejan Shatashvili and Rendering Consultant Irakli Shubashikeli spearheaded the project, ensuring that the design seamlessly integrates with the natural surroundings and historical context of Abastumani.
