Residence Design Showcases Unique Features and Functionality

Wei-Chih Chang's "Redefine Home" project redefines residential living with a modern, open-space design that seamlessly integrates living, dining, and study areas. The innovative use of a large frame structure with embedded LED strips creates a multifunctional space, enhancing interaction and flexibility. The project, located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, was completed in October 2019.

The 105.79 square meter space features a blend of natural style, simple modern elements, and low-key fashion, creating an enlarged, mixed-use open area. The design incorporates aluminium LED strip light bars, shrink film, metal parts, Changhong glass, Italian Spiver decorative paint, system furniture, and SPC flooring to achieve a consistent urban style with a unified color tone and lighting scheme.

Chang's design overcame challenges of space enlargement and storage while maintaining a minimalist style. The project was recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding creativity and ingenious design, showcasing strong technical and creative skills that contribute to improving quality of life.
