Chongqing Bowchuang 4S Store: Redefining Urban Retail Experience

Horace Davids Engineering Design proudly presents the Chongqing Bowchuang 4S Store, a pioneering urban art landmark spanning 25,000 square meters. Drawing inspiration from Chongqing's foggy atmosphere, cyberpunk traffic flow planning, ecological forest concept, and karst landform, the store offers an immersive experience that integrates diverse functional zones for an array of services, enriching customer experiences.

Located in Chongqing, the 4S store defies conventional spatial aesthetics, creating a distinctive regional allure rooted in the city's rich cultural heritage. The interior design goes beyond traditional retail spaces, encompassing shopping, entertainment, and socializing, offering customers a comprehensive and engaging experience.

The project prioritizes environmental protection by utilizing innovative materials such as polymer clay, lightweight PU faux stone siding panels, and ultra-thin flexible stone veneer, minimizing the demand for natural stone and showcasing a commitment to sustainable design.

Inspired by the unique style of Hongyadong in Chongqing, the store's atrium has been transformed to optimize space utilization, offering customers multiple options to access different floors. Each floor has been thoughtfully planned with comprehensive functional zones for display, relaxation, and interaction, enhancing the overall customer experience with improved engagement.

The design phase for the 4S Store started in Shanghai in October 2022, followed by refurbishment in Chongqing in June 2023, culminating in the completion of the entire project in November 2023.

To elevate the 4S store in the mountainous city of Chongqing from a mere automobile service center to an urban landmark that integrates recreation, socializing, natural landscape, and art, the design team drew inspiration from the urban culture, creating diverse functional zones infused with vitality and a natural ambiance. Through thoughtful layout and the incorporation of various design elements, the interior space offers an immersive experience that delights customers on multiple levels.
