Canal Culture and Modern Design Blend Seamlessly in Huai'an City Experience Center

MID（SHANGHAI）DESIGN CO.,LTD introduces the Huai'an City Experience Center, an interior design project inspired by the canal lifestyle and the spirit of Chinese literati. The center perfectly integrates canal civilization and modern techniques, creating a harmonious coexistence between architecture and nature. Located in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, the project re-creates the charm of canal culture in the east, drawing on oriental elegance and classical Chinese elements to craft a more suitable lifestyle for modern people.

The project, spanning 1735.36m2, utilizes materials such as ancient wood stone, tundla grey stone, silver pear wood, wood grain aluminum sheet, and yellow bronze to realize its vision. The space generatrix is applied with the method of three entries for Chinese buildings, presenting a functional layout that exudes oriental charm with modern techniques and textures.

Started in August 2019 and completed in November 2019, the Huai'an City Experience Center stands as a testament to the fusion of canal culture and modern design, conveying the spirit of Chinese literati through a contemporary lens.
