FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Huawei Flagship Store, a project by TUPDI+DLR GROUP, aims to revitalize the commercial district with the most historical significance in Tianjin. The store, housed in the historic "Traffic Hotel" building, spans over 2,700 square meters and features various areas including product experience, HUAWEI Community, whole house intelligent experience, sports and health, and art exhibition. The design integrates Tianjin's past beauty with its current innovation, creating an ideal place for citizens to enjoy high-end shopping and cultural exploration.
The design team meticulously restored the original appearance of the historical building, enhancing the continuity of the urban landscape and providing a space for citizens to rest and socialize. The store's modern interior design style demonstrates the sense of science, technology, and fashion of Huawei products, creating a multi-dimensional business format to meet the needs of customers of all ages.
The project, which began in April 2022 and was completed in August 2023, officially opened in Tianjin in October 2023. The design team overcame various challenges to introduce functions such as a cafe, bar, plant lounge, entertainment, art exhibition, and sports and health areas, creating a new and upgraded multi-dimensional business format.
In terms of flow line design, the project attaches great importance to the connection between the interior space of the flagship store and the urban space. The Huawei Community on the second floor provides a place for customers to learn and communicate, and a series of public flow lines connect the store with the city.
The project was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2024, recognizing its outstanding expertise and innovation in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
