Reshock Coffee introduces a unique gift box inspired by the sunrise view at Ali Mountain, designed to provide customers with a memorable unboxing experience that reflects the beauty of the Taiwanese landscape.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Reshock Coffee, a Taiwanese brand from Chiayi, has unveiled a captivating gift box designed by Weiche Wu, the Brand Design Director at Union Atelier. The packaging is a celebration of the iconic sunrise view at Ali Mountain, offering customers a unique unboxing experience that mirrors the beauty of the Taiwanese landscape.
The gift box, measuring 420 mm x 200 mm x 40 mm, is crafted from paper and features a drawer-like structure. As customers pull out the inner box, they are treated to a mesmerizing sunrise movement, creating a sense of ceremony and anticipation.
Inside the gift box, individual coffee packs are adorned with local nature and culture elements, showcasing creatures facing the rising sun from Ali Mountain. This design aims to immerse customers in the experience of the mountain's beauty while enjoying the high-quality coffee.
Weiche Wu, along with Senior Visual Designer Jiasin Jhang, drew inspiration from the natural environment of Ali Mountain, incorporating elements such as plants, animals, and natural movements into the packaging's design. The goal was to create a tangible representation of the local landscape, allowing customers to connect with the beauty of Ali Mountain through the act of unboxing.
The project, which commenced in July 2021 and concluded in January 2022 in Taipei, Taiwan, has been met with acclaim since the product's launch in January 2022. The design has been recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award for Packaging Design, highlighting its creative ingenuity and contribution to enhancing the customer experience.
Weiche Wu, a Taiwanese designer with a background in Industrial Design and a focus on graphic design and critical design thinking, has demonstrated his ability to merge aesthetics with functionality in this captivating packaging design. His work with Union Atelier reflects a commitment to combining international design trends with Taiwanese traditions, resulting in a unique and impactful design language.
