Office Design Transforms Becton Dickinson's Workplace

DB&B Pte Ltd has completed the transformation of Becton Dickinson's (BD) workplace at 2 International Business Park Road, The Strategy, Singapore. The project, named "BD's Hype Tribe," commenced in September 2019 and was finalized in March 2020. The office design aimed to consolidate key business units into a single floorplate, fostering a blended community space for the various tribes of BD to come together, unite, and promote cohesion with a common language.

The office design by DB&B Pte Ltd is characterized by a strong visual and immersive experience that fuels different encounters throughout the space. It draws inspiration from an Alfresco cafe, offering an ambient and cozy environment with the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee, and features suspended acoustic panels that create a dynamic flow. The design also incorporates wood and green elements to enforce biophilia inspirations, promoting collaboration and innovative spirit.

Despite the challenges of working on a large floorplate across two levels, the design team successfully connected various spaces, from the main reception area to the co-working café areas, while ensuring seamless collaboration and driving an innovative spirit. The design reflects BD's consolidation exercise and aims to promote cohesiveness among the different tribes within the organization.
