Wilson Hsu's Ccilu presents GreenPlax Tess, a revolutionary footwear design made from upcycled plastic bottles, addressing environmental and health concerns with cutting-edge technology and sustainable materials.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ccilu's GreenPlax Tess is a groundbreaking footwear design that upcycles plastic bottles to create a unique and eco-friendly product. Each pair of shoes upcycles 20 plastic bottles, with the outsole made from straight scraps of the bottles, providing visual impact and environmental benefits. The shoes are water-repellent, dirt/oil proof, anti-UV, air-breathable, moisture-wicking, fast-drying, odor/mildew-control, resilient, supportive, and offer great grip.
The RPET yarns used in the upper and sock-liner are made from upcycled bottles, and a patented technology is used to fuse and foam the scraps into the outsole. The design is not only environmentally conscious but also offers high-quality performance, making it suitable for various occasions and all-day wear.
The project, which started in July 2019 and finished in August 2020 in Taiwan, is set to hit the market in Q3 2021, offering a sustainable and stylish footwear option for consumers.
Ccilu's GreenPlax Tess is a testament to the brand's commitment to sustainability and innovation, aiming to create a positive impact on the environment and consumer behavior. This design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, highlighting its outstanding creativity and contribution to a better world.
