googoods Unveils Ooh La Love 2.0, a Unique Wedding Cake Store Concept in Taichung, Taiwan
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
googoods, a design team based in Taichung, Taiwan, has unveiled Ooh La Love 2.0, a groundbreaking concept that redefines the traditional wedding cake store. Inspired by the quote "Love is the most beautiful surprise in life," the design creates a retro and avant-garde space experience within the mysterious "Future Hotel." The project commenced in January 2020 and was completed in April 2020 in Taichung, Taiwan.
The Ooh La Love 2.0 project covers an area of 125 sqm and features a multi-layered atmosphere, blending classic and avant-garde elements. The space utilizes glass, wood, steel, marble, ceramic tile, brass, and neon lights to create an elegant yet futuristic ambiance. The design team, led by Design Director Chihong Chuang and Project Manager WanYu Chuang, aimed to disrupt existing norms and create a space that surprises and delights visitors.
Visitors are invited to register as "future lovers" and embark on a fantasy journey of taste buds. Upon receiving a promised imprint key, they follow the light and ascend the infinitely expanding spiral staircase, experiencing the art installations and surprises along the way. The space is activated by a room card, magically illuminating the entire area upon arrival at the seat.
googoods' Ooh La Love 2.0 has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious accolade celebrates the design's creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving the quality of life through art, science, and technology.
