H Space Office Interior Design by TsingYan Interior Design & Contracting

Taiwanese design firm, TsingYan Interior Design & Contracting, has been awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award for their innovative H Space office interior design. The project, located in a metal manufacturing factory in New Taipei City, Taiwan, embodies the 3 R principle (reduce, reuse, and recycle) by utilizing modular H beam steels and metal warehouse panels as building construction units. The warm bright yellow color scheme reflects the industrious nature of the factory, while providing a comfortable and sustainable office environment for employees.

The H Space office interior design spans 148 square meters and was realized using H beam steels and metal partitions. Lead Designer Chien Ming Lai and Designer Jyun Ru Chen led the project, which was designed from July to December 2018 and constructed from December 2018 to April 2019.

The design team overcame challenges to find environmentally friendly, efficient, and flexible materials that aligned with the image of a metal manufacturing factory. The use of reusable materials such as H beam steels and metal partitions allows for continued use even if the factory is relocated, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and the 3 R principle.
