Venus Study Desk: Creating a Conducive Home Learning Space

PanYan Fei's Venus Study Desk is a response to the increased need for a suitable home learning environment for children, brought about by the rise in online education due to the pandemic. Traditional desks are unable to meet the evolving needs of children, impacting their learning efficiency and physical health. The Venus Study Desk is designed to address these challenges by providing an adjustable and functional study space for kids at home.

The Venus Study Desk is unique in its ability to accompany children from kindergarten to university, with adjustable height and desk tilting systems to promote healthy sitting and study gestures. The desk also features storage functions to encourage good learning habits and considers the use and charging of electronic devices, aligning with the shift towards online teaching as a part of daily life.

The desk is made primarily of plywood, with medium carbon steel legs sprayed with environmentally friendly powder, ensuring a safe and reliable structure. The dimensions of the desk are 1050mm × 670mm × (520–760)mm, providing ample space for study and activities.

The Venus Study Desk's innovative technology includes a turbo worm drive for height adjustment, synchronous belt transmission, and a foldable winding handle for easy lifting adjustment. The tilting tabletop utilizes gas spring adjustment, allowing for effortless angle changes. Additionally, the desk features a multifunctional box with a wireless charging module for phones and pads, catering to the needs of modern students.

The project, which commenced in July 2019 and concluded in July 2020 in Hangzhou, China, was driven by extensive research into the demands of online learning, with over 80% of user families expressing interest in or already engaging in online education. The Venus Study Desk is equipped with patented smart home technology, reflecting PanYan Fei's commitment to innovation and quality.

PanYan Fei's Venus Study Desk has been recognized with the prestigious A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, underscoring its practicality, innovation, and ability to meet professional and industrial requirements. This accolade acknowledges the desk's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world through thoughtful design.
