Exhibition Spaces Showcase: IRREVERSIBLE FORWARD

Huang Lang B A M P O presents "IRREVERSIBLE FORWARD," an art exhibition inspired by the fading ethnic craftsmanship of ancient China. The exhibition, held from November 09 to November 12, 2018 in Chengdu, China, is a TIME TUNNEL themed art gallery that aims to revive and modernize traditional Chinese ethnic craftsmanship and folk art.

The exhibition features a unique art gallery made from common, recycled, and renewable materials, symbolizing the determination to preserve cultural heritage. The design team, led by Huang Lang, utilized interlocked and stacked materials to create a stable structure, echoing the theme of moving irreversibly forward while paying homage to the past.

Visitors are guided through a two-way light experience, symbolizing the journey from the past to the future. The exhibition showcases iconic wall art and handbags from various historical periods, providing a step-by-step experience with scene changes, and highlighting the fusion of traditional and modern elements.

Huang Lang, a prominent figure in the promotion of Chinese original art, founded the brand "Bampo" in 1997. His dedication to interpreting Chinese contemporary lifestyle has led to numerous accolades, including the 2018 participation in the 5th Chengdu Creative Design Week and the Iron A' Design Award in 2022 for the "IRREVERSIBLE FORWARD" exhibition.
