"Animal" - A Multifunctional Stool

Yuanwei LI, Shengrong Guo, Yu Qi, and Hongchuan Zhao have designed "Animal," a small animal child stool that transforms from a three-legged stool into a lovely chair, encouraging playful interactions with children. The clever structure allows for easy switching between forms, providing both a child's chair and stool. The equilateral triangle legs extend beyond the surface, ensuring incredible stability. The design aims to be more than just a piece of furniture, serving as a fun playmate for children.

The "Animal" stool is realized using plastic blow molding technology, with technical specifications of 260x260x380. The design team overcame creative and technical challenges to ensure the delicate yet stable structure. This project, initiated in Shenzhen in March 2020, was completed in September 2020, showcasing the team's dedication to creating a unique and functional piece.

Yuanwei LI, Shengrong Guo, Yu Qi, and Hongchuan Zhao, hailing from Shenzhen, China, were honored with the Silver A' Design Award in 2021 for their outstanding expertise and innovation in furniture design. The "Animal" stool represents a remarkable level of excellence, introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
