Shanghai Beyong Design Unveils the Redesigned and Improved Blossom House

Shanghai Beyong Design has unveiled the transformation of Blossom House, a luxury urban resort hotel nestled in Zhongshan Mountain National Park, Nanjing. The project aimed to upgrade the resort hotel from a single function of accommodation to a destination with diversified spiritual and cultural experiences, integrating local culture and history into its design.

The landscape redesign draws inspiration from the fabrics and material language of the old city wall built in the Ming Dynasty, utilizing the elevation difference of the mountain landform to retain key vegetation within the site. The introduction of the waterscape of the lake on the west side and the organic connection of functional spaces create a unique and immersive experience for guests.

With a focus on sustainability, the design minimizes hard pavement coverage and adopts permeable materials, while also incorporating an infinite swimming pool equipped with a misting system to support outdoor activities and increase humidity around plants. The project retained existing trees and shrubs while adding 74 kinds of ground cover and aquatic plants to enhance diversity.

Following rounds of on-site surveys and investigations, the project underwent 8 months of construction and 2 years of maintenance and management. The design scheme was executed through precise design control and coordination with multiple parties, resulting in a perfectly realized vision.

The project, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, integrates local culture and history, reflecting modern people's pursuit of returning to the original simplicity of life. The design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design, showcasing its outstanding and creatively ingenious approach to redefining luxury urban resort experiences.
