CanguRo: Redefining Human-Robot Interaction

Shunji Yamanaka & fuRo have unveiled CanguRo, a groundbreaking mobility robot inspired by the faithful and reliable nature of horses. This innovative robot is designed to autonomously navigate, follow a walking human, and transform into a personal transporter, providing a seamless blend of advanced robotics and AI technologies.

With a length of 750mm, width of 440mm, and a mass of 64kg, CanguRo is equipped with two front wheels and one rear wheel, driven by cutting-edge robotics and AI technologies. Its unique features include autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, and the ability to follow a walking human, offering a new level of interaction between man and machine.

Designed and developed in Japan, CanguRo has been exhibited at prestigious museums including the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York and the Design Museum in London, showcasing its potential to revolutionize daily life and expand the range of human activities.
