DouChaSai: A Packaging Design for the 2018 "Zhuzi Cup" Wuyi Mountain Folk Tea Competition Gold Award Tea

7654321 Studio has unveiled DouChaSai, a unique packaging design inspired by the ancient Chinese tea competition. The design, created for the 2018 "Zhuzi Cup" Wuyi Mountain Folk Tea Competition Gold Award Tea, draws inspiration from the rich history and cultural significance of the traditional tea competition.

The packaging features Chinese calligraphy that embodies the essence of the "Tea Competition," with domineering strokes and rich details. The design combines elegance and heaviness, achieving a unique aesthetic that reflects the spirit of the competition. The calligraphy conveys the message "Yi Zhan Cheng Ming, Yan Ao Jiang Hu," capturing the essence of victory and challenge inherent in the tea competition.

Utilizing special paper, screen spot color printing, bronzing, and transfer metal stickers, the packaging measures 160*40*245mm, providing a stunning canvas for the intricate calligraphy and design elements.

Get the package and admire the calligraphy on the surface. After opening, it contains a small tea box and a certificate of collection.

The project commenced in October 2018 in Fuzhou, China, and was completed in December 2018, with the official launch taking place in January 2019. The design process involved in-depth research into the history and cultural significance of the tea competition, as well as the exploration of design elements that resonate with the event's temperament.
