Renowned designer Lorence Wang unveils a serene Wabi Sabi resort, blending Japanese Zen style with modern living, completed in January 2022 in Taiwan.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lorence Wang, in collaboration with Elson Wang, has unveiled the Wabi Sabi resort, a tranquil retreat blending Japanese Zen style with modern living. The project, completed in January 2022 in Taiwan, was inspired by the Japanese vacation atmosphere longed for by the owner and his wife. The outdoor laundry and clothes drying area were transformed into an indoor hot spring bathroom, creating a serene and inviting space for relaxation and family gatherings.
The resort boasts rustic, gray stone features, solid wooden elements, and a pastel green leafy hue, creating a fresh and natural vitality that allows guests to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life. The design incorporates brilliant woodwork craftsmanship, including tailor-made Japanese shoji screens and sliding doors, to achieve a Zen-like vibe and a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality.
Spanning 59.508 square meters, the Wabi Sabi resort features eco-friendly faux finishing, grey marble flooring, and earth-toned furnishings, creating a soothing ambiance full of natural vitality. The project, which commenced in October 2021, reflects a core theme of "fluency" in planning, with integrated layouts and extensive views enhancing the overall design.
Lorence Wang's Wabi Sabi resort has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the 2022 A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. The tranquil retreat embodies simplicity as beauty, offering a quality lifestyle that allows guests to escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature.
