Himalaya and Elephant Design collaborate to create a vibrant and engaging packaging design for the new sheet mask range, aimed at young, global audiences seeking natural wellness.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Himalaya, the iconic Indian wellness brand, has partnered with Elephant Design to introduce a new addition to their Personal Care portfolio: the Sheet Mask. The collaboration aimed to appeal to young audiences globally, leveraging the success of Himalaya's existing products. The packaging system encapsulates 5 variants, designed to create a highly accessible and engaging experience while staying true to Himalaya's core elements.
The sachet packaging for the sheet mask features a bright color palette and playful font, invoking a 'Zen' time and a note to self, while emphasizing the brand's focus on natural ingredients. The design targets young, evolved consumers who prioritize their beauty regime and self-care, carrying forward Himalaya's legacy of natural wellness in a contemporary manner.
Printed using CMYK, White, and 4 special pantone colors, the sachet packaging incorporates a Spot UV gloss finish for the brand logo and image, with the remaining surface having a matte finish. The design agency undertook qualitative research to understand consumer perceptions and associations with personal care products, ensuring that the packaging effectively conveys the product's natural ingredients, benefits, and usage details in an engaging and vibrant manner.
The project, which commenced in September 2019 and concluded in December 2020, was a collaborative effort between teams in Singapore and India. The design was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in 2021, highlighting its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
