FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lee Chi's Inorganic Mineral installation art series delves into the nature of materials and their reconstruction through an aesthetic lens, offering a fresh perspective on the interaction between urban environments and natural elements. The artworks, crafted from a diverse range of materials including iron mesh, wood, aluminum foil, and dried flowers, seek to evoke emotional responses and redefine the urban landscape.
The project, which commenced in January 2019 and concluded in March 2019 in Taipei, was exhibited at the Botaniplan Von Lee Chi studio and the BOUNTIFUL JOURNEY gallery in Taipei during 2019. The series aims to repurpose non-recyclable materials into mixed media for artistic expression, highlighting the potential for inorganic waste to be transformed into valuable artworks.
Lee Chi, an architect by training, draws inspiration from his deep connection to nature, infusing his botanical art installations with a profound understanding of environmental materials. His work blurs the boundaries between architecture, living elements, and botanical installations, creating a captivating fusion of art and nature.
