Inspired by the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo da Vinci, this innovative bottle applies a 1/8 cap-to-body ratio to achieve a delicate balance of power and aesthetics. The New Bottle aims to encourage re-usability and reduce the use of disposable plastic products, promoting a more sustainable lifestyle for consumers.
The bottle features a conical body and a UFO-styled lid, ensuring a good hand feel and easy operation. Made of 304 stainless steel with a 316 stainless steel liner, it offers durability and functionality. The precise mechanics design results in a 1:8 ratio between the conical body and the bottle lid, while the 13.8mm thick bottle rim is specifically designed for drinking water, making it suitable for everyday use.
Starting the project in August 2018, the first sale of The New Bottle took place in February 2020. The design process involved extensive research, including observations of user behaviors and feedback from test use, leading to the conclusion that tumblers need to be minimalized. By eliminating redundant functions and focusing on the drinking experience, NIO Life has created a product that makes environmental protection simple and fashionable.
