Innovative Weaving-Inspired Design Transforms Corporate Headquarters into a Creative and Functional Workspace

LOYU Interior Design Engineering Co., Ltd., led by designer Yu Lo and team members Lo Hung Chih and Yang Ting I, has received the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for 2025. Their project, "Knitting And Dreaming," reimagines a corporate headquarters in Taoyuan, Taiwan, by weaving together the company's heritage of Velcro tape production with modern design elements to create an inspiring and harmonious workspace.

The 13,389-square-meter headquarters features a cohesive interplay of patterns and textures, drawing inspiration from the fabric elements of Velcro tapes and the concept of weaving. From the grand marble corporate wall in the lobby to the woven-patterned columns and intricately crafted windows and doors, every detail reflects the company's commitment to quality, innovation, and creativity. The design integrates sandblasted paper window patterns, laser-cut metal plates with tea glass, and sandblasted tea glass secret doors, creating a dynamic play of light, shadow, and texture throughout the space.

Special attention was given to the continuity of design, with woven patchwork patterns extending from the staircase hall to the 8th floor's common area, where a detailed world map on the floor symbolizes the company's global reach. Curved lines on the ceiling evoke a sense of journey and progress, while the overall environment fosters productivity and creativity. This award-winning project stands as a testament to LOYU's expertise in blending functionality with artistic vision, honoring the company's legacy while setting new standards for corporate interior design.
