Charlene 10 Years Gift Box: A Symbol of Eastern Culture and Artistic Innovation Honored Internationally

The "Charlene 10 Years" gift box, designed by Hanyun Gu, stands as a testament to the enduring elegance of Eastern aesthetics and the brand's commitment to cultural dissemination. Inspired by the poetic symbolism of the fan-known as "Ren Feng"-the box is crafted in the shape of a fan case, echoing the theme "Benevolent Breeze Presented in a Box." This commemorative piece was unveiled during Charlene Classic Jewellery's tenth anniversary exhibitions in November 2023, held across Shanghai, Beijing, and London, and has now received international recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in 2025.

The design draws from the brand's first exhibition theme, "Open Xuan to View the Splendor," with a structure that mimics an open window, inviting audiences to explore the richness of Chinese culture. The surface of the box features the exhibition's theme, "Bamboo Shadows and Elegant Fans Presented by Xuan," embossed in green, while the brand's slogan is elegantly stamped in silver. Inside, the gift box contains a green all-bamboo fan, a main volume and supplement in traditional accordion binding, a bamboo painting card, and a paper invitation, all meticulously arranged to guide recipients through a layered reading and sensory experience reminiscent of the poetic homes of Eastern literati.

Hanyun Gu's approach integrates traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibilities, using diverse materials and printing techniques to evoke the virtues of benevolence, righteousness, and wisdom. The fan, both a functional object and a symbol of refined taste, serves as the main invitation and a lasting souvenir, reinforcing the brand's mission to spread Chinese culture and philosophical wisdom. The thoughtful design not only commemorates a decade of Charlene Classic Jewellery's achievements but also offers audiences a tangible connection to the brand's heritage, values, and vision for the future.

Receiving the Bronze A' Giftware Design Award highlights the project's creative ingenuity and technical excellence, recognizing its role in enhancing quality of life and promoting cultural appreciation through artful design.
