Deca Joins' "Heaven And Dirt" Concert Wins Iron A' Design Award for Immersive Stage Innovation

TAIWAN (CHINA) -- /ENTERPRISE/newswire -- Oct 12, 2024

B'IN LIVE CO., LTD.'s stage design for Deca Joins' "Heaven And Dirt" concert, held in Taipei on February 23-24, 2024, has been honored with the Iron A' Design Award 2025, recognizing its inventive blend of visual artistry and immersive audience experience inspired by the band's poetic musical journey.

Innovative Stage Design Transforms Deca Joins' "Heaven And Dirt" Concert into a Living Art Installation

Deca Joins' first large-scale ticketed concert, "Heaven And Dirt," brought a new dimension to live music experiences in Taipei, thanks to the visionary stage design by B'IN LIVE CO., LTD. Drawing inspiration from the ancient concept of "Round Sky and Square Earth," the design physically manifested this philosophy through a massive circular lighting structure suspended above the audience and dynamic rectangular LED screens representing the ground. This interplay of forms created a powerful visual metaphor for life's journey, echoing the themes in Deca Joins' music and immersing concertgoers in a poetic, multi-sensory environment.

The technical realization of the design was as innovative as its concept. The LED screens featured a slit style, allowing for a see-through effect that played with audience perception, especially during the concert's opening when the band's silhouettes were hidden and revealed. The circular truss, equipped with TB1230, could move vertically, transforming the lighting into a kinetic art installation that adapted to the mood and narrative of each song. With a 22-meter-wide LED and meticulously planned rigging, the design maximized the venue's scale while maintaining a cohesive and enveloping atmosphere.

Throughout the concert, every design element served to enhance the audience's connection to the music. By prioritizing musical immersion over spectacle, the production eliminated unnecessary distractions and focused on creating a direct emotional impact. Water, a recurring motif in Deca Joins' lyrics, shaped the show's structure, with songs like "Bathroom," "Fog," and "Waves" guiding the visual narrative. The concert concluded with a surreal visual sequence for the song "B1," leaving audiences with a lasting impression of artful innovation. This unique approach, combined with the collaborative efforts of a diverse creative team, set a new standard for concert experiences and earned the project the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in Performing Arts, Stage, Style, and Scenery Design for 2025.
