Genuine Minzui: A Landmark Mixed Use Development Integrating Sustainability, Community, and Modern Design in Taiwan

Minzui Innovation co., ltd. has achieved significant recognition with its Genuine Minzui project, a mixed use building in New Taipei City, Taiwan, which has been awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2025. As the first development of its kind in the area and the inaugural project for the construction company, Genuine Minzui sets a new benchmark for urban architecture by turning site limitations-such as western exposure, remoteness, and proximity to a viaduct-into defining strengths. The design team's approach focused on cross-generational impact, sustainability, and the creation of a vibrant, green community hub.

The project's unique architectural features include horizontal shading on the western façade, advanced glazing to minimize heat, and a three-tiered green planting system using local species. Residents benefit from a comfortable environment surrounded by greenery on three sides, enhancing biodiversity and well-being. The top floor's striking lightbox serves as a symbolic beacon, glowing like a flame by day and a fire by night, establishing the building as the warm heart of the redevelopment zone. The use of kiln-fired tiles, granite, and innovative waterproofing materials ensures durability, low maintenance, and resilience against Taiwan's weather extremes.

Genuine Minzui comprises two main structures: Building A, a 14-story tower with commercial spaces, offices, and residential units, and Building B, a two-story retail complex. The design integrates high ceilings, cyberpunk-inspired lighting, and the Tyndall effect to create dynamic interactions between natural and artificial light, fostering a harmonious atmosphere. The project's planning process involved extensive community engagement and rapid prototyping, resulting in 13 floor plans within two months to maximize natural light and park views for every unit. Genuine Minzui's thoughtful design and technical excellence exemplify Minzui Innovation's commitment to elevating urban living and architectural standards in Taiwan.
