China Overseas Yongding Jiuli: Platinum Award-Winning Urban Resort Residence Integrating Nature and Culture

China Overseas Yongding Jiuli, designed by Milanddesign and led by Design Director Nana Wang and Designer Zejun Mu, stands as a testament to the enduring Chinese pursuit of harmonious living with nature. Drawing inspiration from the classic painting "Travelers Among Mountains and Streams," the project offers residents and visitors an immersive experience where urban sophistication meets the tranquility of terraced mountainsides and lush forests. Officially launched in Beijing in November 2023 and completed in May 2024, this 7,237-square-meter residential display area redefines the boundaries of landscape planning and garden design.

The unique character of Yongding Jiuli lies in its three-dimensional migratory garden path, which guides guests through a series of themed landscapes, including the iconic Flying Rainbow Bridge, cascading waterfall walls, and the Jade Inkstone Forest Spring. The design's terraced layout not only maximizes greenery coverage but also creates a layered visual journey reminiscent of walking through a living painting. By integrating modern architectural clusters with natural elements, the project delivers an urban oasis that offers both aesthetic pleasure and a restorative escape from city life.

One of the project's most significant achievements is its seamless connection of diverse landscapes within a compact urban setting. Overcoming technical challenges such as linking the homecoming footpath with a sunken courtyard, the design team crafted a spatial narrative that encourages exploration and relaxation. The result is a resort residence that embodies the essence of oriental holiday living, providing a picturesque retreat that celebrates both cultural heritage and contemporary innovation. The Platinum A' Design Award recognizes Yongding Jiuli's exceptional contribution to advancing landscape architecture and enhancing the quality of urban environments.
