"Cornerstone" Apartment: Award-Winning Dark-Toned Residence Showcases Artistic Layering and Spatial Fluidity

RT Interior Design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award 2025 for its "Cornerstone" project, a new apartment that redefines residential interiors through the creative use of dark materials, artistic paint, and seamless design elements. Inspired by the client's desire for a living space with a distinctive personality, the design team, led by Ryan Tien, crafted an environment where bold contrasts and layered textures create a tranquil yet visually dynamic atmosphere. The project's completion in May 2022 marks a significant achievement in the firm's portfolio, demonstrating a harmonious balance between aesthetics and functionality.

The 280.9-square-meter residence features three bedrooms, a living room, dining area, and an open study, all meticulously arranged to enhance both social interaction and privacy. The designer introduced a sense of mobility and flow by integrating streamlined storage solutions, raised platforms, and material transitions between spaces. Notably, the seamless TV wall, finished with artistic paint to evoke a stone-like effect, serves as a focal point, while the dining room ceiling's stucco band cleverly addresses structural constraints and adds a unique visual axis. The open study's raised platform offers multiple viewing angles, allowing residents to enjoy changing vistas and natural light throughout the day.

Functionality is at the heart of the design, with storage and display spaces thoughtfully planned to address the client's needs. The interplay of dark hues, natural light, and metallic accents creates a serene yet sophisticated environment, while long horizontal lines and contrasting textures add depth and visual interest. The project's innovative solutions-such as transforming architectural limitations into design features-exemplify RT Interior Design's commitment to quality, creativity, and client satisfaction.
