Bewell Clinic, designed by Ge Song and located in the heart of Taichung City, is setting a new benchmark for healthcare interiors by reimagining the traditional urology clinic. Officially opened in June 2024, the facility challenges the stigma and discomfort often associated with urology visits by offering a gallery-inspired environment that blends privacy, comfort, and contemporary aesthetics. The project, which took eight months from conception to completion, has already been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award for its innovative approach to patient-centered care.

Drawing inspiration from the worlds of art and fashion performance, Ge Song sought to create a space where patients feel dignified and at ease. The clinic features soft, indirect lighting, earthy tones, and deep green accents that evoke a sense of calm and healing. Semi-transparent partitions and tinted glass provide privacy without sacrificing openness, while sculptural furnishings and custom medical elements are seamlessly integrated to elevate the overall experience. The layout is meticulously planned across two floors, with waiting areas, consultation rooms, treatment spaces, and staff lounges designed to ensure both discretion and a natural flow for patients and staff alike.

Research into color psychology and lighting informed every design decision, with the goal of reducing anxiety and promoting comfort. The clinic's innovative use of fire-resistant materials and custom lighting solutions meets strict safety and medical standards without compromising on style. By transforming a stigmatized medical environment into a welcoming and artful space, Bewell Clinic not only enhances patient well-being but also sets a new standard for healthcare design. This achievement has been further validated by its Iron A' Design Award win, recognizing the clinic as a model of practical, innovative, and emotionally intelligent design in the healthcare sector.
