Jerry Tung's Arcadian Cruise apartment in Taipei City, completed in May 2024, has been honored with the Bronze A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award 2025, recognizing its sophisticated nautical-inspired design that harmonizes luxury, warmth, and family comfort through innovative use of materials and light.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Arcadian Cruise, designed by Jerry Tung and located in Taipei City, stands as a testament to refined living inspired by the elegance of yacht design. Completed in May 2024, this apartment project reimagines residential interiors with a unique blend of nautical aesthetics and functional family comfort. The layout draws from the concept of upper and lower decks, with the common areas elevated to maximize openness and natural light, while private spaces remain secluded below, ensuring both vibrancy and privacy for its residents.
What sets Arcadian Cruise apart is its understated sophistication. Eschewing ostentatious displays of luxury, the design achieves a harmonious balance between organic warmth and exquisite detail. The collaborative process between the owners and Jerry Tung fostered a creative environment, resulting in thoughtful material choices such as textile wallcoverings, saddle leather accents, and handcrafted stitching. The use of oversized ceramic tiles with epoxy finish for flooring ensures durability and ease of maintenance, while the large folding glass doors and bay windows flood the interior with sunlight, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and enhancing the sense of space.
Every element of Arcadian Cruise is meticulously crafted to evoke the sensation of being aboard a yacht. The wavy ceiling in the living room, light color palette, and rounded wall corners reinforce the maritime theme, while integrated greenery supports the well-being of urban dwellers. The partition grilles, adorned with leather and textile, elegantly divide spaces without obstructing light or views. This holistic approach to design not only elevates daily living but also reflects the owners' passion for the sea and appreciation for innovative craftsmanship. The project's recognition with the Bronze A' Design Award underscores its contribution to quality of life and the advancement of interior design practices.
